Move on, flying Dutchman (1993) was a shelter for homeless people made in the garden of the Contemporary Art Centre in Moscow, Russia. I built this wooden house in collaboration with assistent/architect Oleg Nikolaevski after a trip through Karelia in northern Russia to draw attention to a new phenomenon after the fall of communism: homeless people.
